Sweet Emily Marie turned 16 weeks old today! It feels like she is growing every single day and I need her to slow down!
I am truly enjoying every minute with her lately. I can see it now, with a little distance from those first early days, that I must have had more postpartum emotions and stuff going on than I realized. I loved her from moment one, but there were definitely times when I thought "I can't do this". I am happy to say that I am way past that now (getting some decent sleep probably played a big role!)
Here is our recap of our week:
(not in order, because I am too tired to fight with this blog layout right now)
Daily outfits, with a bonus Bat Girl pajama shot thrown in.
Sitting pretty in my chair, chewing on my friend the giraffe (not a cow, Beverly!)
Trying on my new pink TOMS from Aunt Katie - still too big!
Enjoying a beautiful day at the park in Chattanooga with Grandma and Aunt Katie. She didn't even seem to mind that we could not stop laughing at her goofy hat.
Oui Oui Mon Amore, pass the croissants, sil vous plait
Meeting the Easter bunny went well! (but the attempted shopping at Belk right after did not - luckily other people shopping in the baby department have to understand, right?!)
Saturday night dinner in Van Leer - this was our entertainment. Leslie and I said it was the "Delle Bowden Revue" (the lady in the red vest was a dead ringer!)
Napping with Sister Sydney
Lunch at Zaxby's, laughing with Daddy
Practicing tummy time - she has got this head lifting thing down! Now to work on this hair growing thing!
I went to a big consignment sale this week and got a bunch of darling outfits for summer. We are so ready for the warm weather.
Emily came to my work on Friday to wait on Mikey to finish golfing. Apparently work exhausts her too.
Just a picture that I think is sweet.
Bat Girl jammies again.
I handed her my old powder brush and she tried to eat it, and then bonked herself in the head with it.
We will work on makeup application when she is older!
Next week we have her 4 month check up, and shots. Daddy gets to go to that one!
Still say cow
